Kids Friday Night Class (2008-03-21)

Today is Good Friday. We have our special Easter lesson.

Easter is this Sunday (March 23). Easter is the time we celebrate the resurrection of the LORD Jesus Christ. Jesus died on the cross for our sins. He was buried. All of this happened on a Friday. Sunday morning the tomb where Jesus was buried was empty. He had risen from the dead. Resurrection. That is why churches today meet on Sunday. It is because Jesus Christ came back alive on Sunday.

Jesus walked around on earth after HIS resurrection for 40 days, showing to others that HE was alive. He then went back to Heaven. Before Jesus went back to heaven, HE promised HE would come back again. We are looking forward to that time.
