The 1st true story in a series from “Doctor in the Congo”: the life of missionary Dr. Humphrey. Dr. Thomas Humphrey was a missionary doctor. He went to Africa to help the people to get well and tell them about Jesus Christ, who can forgive their sins and give to them everlasting life. Many people who live in tribes fear evil spirits. They are called “animists”. They believe that evil spirits are everywhere and can make people sick. Missionary doctors can teach the people that it is germs who make people sick and Jesus Christ can make them free from the fear of evil spirits.
